- Assistant/Associate/Full Professor: Business Analytics
Description
The College of Business invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE), 9-month, tenure-track Assistant, or tenured Associate or Full Professor in Business Analytics to begin on September 16, 2026.
Assistant Professor rank is anticipated; however, appointment at a promoted rank may be considered depending upon the qualifications of the successful candidate.

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to establishing and maintaining a strong program of research resulting in top peer-reviewed journal publications, teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, and providing service to the college, university, and academic discipline. Service requirements are greater at the Associate and Full Professor ranks.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a closely related business discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution or equivalent. Candidates with doctorates in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Information Science must demonstrate a sustained record or clear potential for business-school aligned research and teaching suitable for AACSB faculty qualification.
- Evidence of, or potential and motivation for, research excellence with a pipeline targeting high-quality business journals in IS/OM/Analytics and related areas.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and commitment to excellence in inclusive teaching and student success.
- Demonstrated commitment to educational equity and a commitment to advancing the participation of diverse groups and supporting diverse perspectives.
- Ability to contribute to a congenial and inclusive work culture.
- For the Associate and Full Professor rank, applicants must hold a similar rank with tenure with an appropriate record of research excellence in leading peer-reviewed journals.
For the Associate Professor rank, applicants must also show evidence of:
- An appropriate record of scholarship, including scholarly publication in premier peer-refereed journals;
- Sustained effectiveness in teaching, advising, service and other assigned duties.
- Increasing leadership roles in institutional and professional service.
For the Full professor rank, applicants must show evidence of:
- Distinction and sustained effectiveness in teaching, advising, service and other assigned duties, curricular development, awards and recognition;
- Distinction in scholarship, as evidenced in scholarly publication in premier peer-refereed journals, including wide recognition and significant contributions to the field or profession;
- Exemplary institutional and professional service and leadership, and an appropriate balance between the two.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Research interests and/or publications in the areas of Agentic AI, business analytics, human computer interaction, information analysis, IT strategy, social media, impact of IT.
- Demonstrated experience and competence in teaching at the university level, especially in the areas of Business Programing, AI in Business, Business Analytics, Machine learning/Deep Learning, LLMs, Social impact of AI.
- Experience in teaching Master’s level courses.
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to adopt an inclusive approach to teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in scholarly pursuits.
- Relevant professional non-academic work experience.
